Ry Smith - December 2021

Ry Smith is a painter, muralist, cartoonist & designer living and working in Newport, RI.

Originally from the South Shore of Long Island, he studied Art History at the University of Rhode Island in the early 2000s. His work has been displayed in galleries, breweries, bars, restaurants, coffee shops & other venues throughout LI and across Aquidneck Island. In 2020, Ry opened an art studio on Thames Street in downtown Newport and began painting full-time. He has also designed and completed several murals across the state, for both local businesses and private residences.
