Jennifer Hrabota Lesser

Jennifer is an artist based in Providence, RI. Her work references fables, mythology, social and religious constructs. Her subjects are often embattled, finding or losing their own power. They deal with what the unconscious conveys beyond the armor of the exterior, and the need to cover up the unseemly with something beautiful. Her work is influenced by the story-telling art of golden age illustrators as well as the current pop-surrealist painters. Recent exhibits include Surreal Salon 8, in Baton Rouge, LA and The Brooklyn Biennial at The Cotton Candy Machine in Brooklyn, NY. She has a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design.
