Hello, I’m a 13 year old artist that works with different mediums, such as acrylic, alcohol marker, watercolor, and recently, digital. Through my acrylic paintings, in particular, I’ve been trying to find the delicate balance between realisticness and style. I’ve found that I gravitate towards a style of rendering the skin with more blocks of color and shape rather than blending it all together. I’m also trying to apply this to my alcohol marker drawings. I’ve definitely made progress on my art journey and I’m eager to keep learning!
Art for me has always provided comfort and pleasure. In elementary school, I was most commonly known as the “art kid”. I was almost always doodling or drawing comics. The subjects and characters of my comics and drawings were mostly humans, but it occurred to me that I didn’t properly know how to draw a human face or really have any technical skills at all. So, I started watching YouTube videos and sketching. With that small and simple motivation, my art journey began and blossomed.
