Aaron Almeida

My accumulated art does not strictly follow a theme, or one medium. Some of my work is a blend of mixed media and graphic design, using halftone patterns and manipulating images in Photoshop before applying it to mixed media pieces. Another portion of my work is strictly drawing, with a mix of pen, charcoal, and oil pastels. I like to change mediums constantly to keep learning and try something new.

I also design posters, which correlates to my college plans, where I will be attending the University of Connecticut majoring in Art with a concentration in graphic design.

Madison Fisher

My name is Madison Fisher and I am a high school senior and soon-to-be freshman at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where I will be majoring in Architecture. Drawing has become my chosen form of communication in a world where words can fail. My artworks tend to have underlying messages, often to do with mental health and socio-cultural issues. I have much to say on these topics, having grown up in a time of both stigmas around mental health and increasing mental health triggers. Each project I work on consists of multiple works, often using primarily similar media, connected through a greater message. Many of my pieces are inspired by my own challenges and/ or experiences of those close to me. I aim to portray views and mental spaces that not everyone yet understands or acknowledges. Spreading awareness in any way can help us move toward an accepting and destigmatized world in which the opportunity to heal openly and with help can be readily available without fear. This has been the driving force behind my art for a few years now.
