A weaving workshop to learn seven tapestry weaving techniques on a mini tapestry loom that you get to keep.

Leave with a mini tapestry, a loom and tools, the knowledge on how to weave tapestry and the ability to continue expanding your weaving journey.

A little more about your instructor, Elizabeth:

I stumbled upon weaving in college and was hooked. Color, order, technique, rhythm and numbers, just a few elements of weaving that won me over. After a few decades in the textile industry designing apparel and home fabrics I opened my own teaching maker-space weaving studio. The studio is my peaceful happy place where I share my knowledge and create handwoven textiles.

• Age range: 12+

• Five techniques covered: woven darning, sashiko patch, appliqué patch, blanket stitch edge repair, and boro-style layered patching

• Skill level: Beginner to intermediate

Every hole tells a story, this workshop teaches you to answer back. In this hands-on class, you'll learn five foundational hand-mending techniques and stitch each one onto a sampler cloth to take home as a personal reference guide. No sewing machine, no perfectionism required, just needle, thread, and a willingness to make your mends beautiful instead of invisible. By the end, you'll have a working library of repairs you can turn to for the rest of your mending life, plus the confidence to fix (and love) worn clothes instead of tossing them.
