The Collaborative in Warren, RI continues its recent success pairing sound and moving image in an evening with Chaces on Friday, November 1st. Doors at 7:00pm and show sharply at 7:30 with a screening of “Billy Lester, Listening in”, a touching short film portrayal of reclusive New York piano savant Billy Lester, made by filmmaker Ben Chace.
The evening continues with a concert and vinyl record release of “Presious Times”, a musical collaboration between brothers and Providence natives Ben and Nathaniel Chace. Described as ‘a new family portrait, a history of characters and scenes, rearranged in the dream space of a lilting country harmony’. The quality of these two anticipating each others phrasing and harmony as only brothers can is a unique experience, as they are accompanied on pedal steel guitar by long-time friend and Warren native Mark Dobbyn.
All shows are free with donation to the artists encouraged, and attendees may bring their own beverages.
