Pop-Up Shop with Brett Cortesi

I received a BFA in 2-Dimensional Design from Umass Amherst in 1998. I moved to Providence in 2000 for cheap studio space, and have since been distracting myself by working full time, splitting wood and raising children. When I do work on art, I like to kind of make fun of stuff. I like to take things that make sense, draw them upside down and create new meanings for them. Sometimes I make art just to be able to put things in order. I used to draw a lot of crickets.
