"My work explores the relationship between living with acute schizophrenia and dealing with complex PTSD. With influences as diverse as Mark Freedman and Jean-Michel Basquiat, new variations are crafted from both constructed and discovered narratives.

What starts out as purely action based, gestural mark making soon evolves, almost of its own accord, into abstract depictions of myriad different people, places, ideas, concepts, all found in our objective reality or within my own consciousness. These objects are then complemented with written phrases, messages, sometimes simply with seemingly "random" letters and numbers (what may appear to be random to the viewer but which carry their own personal meanings to me, every character), in the end leaving the viewer only a sense of emotional complexity, vulnerability, and deep contemplation." ~Tim Davey
