MAKERS is a kids art studio right here in Warren, RI that offers classes, workshops and camps designed to encourage creativity & inspire babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school children to use their imagination.

For this exhibit they’ve created bunnies inspired by Catherine Rayner, another project inspired by Saype, and beautiful block puzzles.

From Makers":

These are from our Artist Study class, where we study and emulate new artists each week. The pieces were inspired by the illustrator Catherine Rayner. We love how she likes to jump from book sized illustrations to huge paintings to help her “refresh her creativity", and how she experiments with unique ways to make marks on paper. In our work we used acrylic paint, loads of glitter, watercolors and acrylic ink.

Saype is another artist we were inspired by during Artist Study class. He is a pioneer in this new land art movement, and has created his own biodegradable paint he uses to paint on grass and sand (google him!). After learning about him, we imagined what we would create if we had the ability to paint like he does. Students used acrylic ink, model magic, sand, and paper shreddings to create their work.

These block puzzles were made during our Art Explorers class. Students first drew on the wood, then used acrylic ink and glitter.
