Faye Silvia is a young artist from Somerset MA currently attending MassArt, in Boston majoring in Illustration.
Faye’s art is both morbid pen and ink representations and life-affirming watercolors.
Faye has been awarded the Scholastic Gold Key for two of their works (2014 and 2018), has been featured in the MassArt magazine, the MassArt Made Show and is a longtime artist member of The Collaborative.
All in the Mind
Mental illness can feel like an insurmountable beast. But one helpful form of therapy for understanding mental illnesses is picturing them as something outside of yourself. People will refer to their illnesses naming by particular names it to distance the illness from themselves and make it easier to analyze and define them understand. All in the Mind is an investigation into this concept by manifesting mental illnesses into tangible monsters. This project is dedicated to anyone affected by mental illnesses. Hopefully this may help you or someone you know. It will be okay.
