Cassie Taber is a recent graduate of Tiverton High School, and was among the first group of graduates to complete the school’s visual arts career and technical education (CTE) program. Primarily a painter and a print maker, her work has earned her recognition from both the Rhode Island Art League and the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Newport County. She is passionate about how involvement in either the performing or visual arts can benefit our youth’s mental health and plans to pursue a career in the arts to promote this message. In the fall, she will be attending Endicott College as a studio arts major with a minor in education. In the future, she hopes to become a high school level art teacher and create a safe space for her students to express themselves.
