Dennis Kelly is a talented painter, tattoo artist and musician who lives in Rhode Island. His work seems to be influenced by Renaissance painting, symbolism, and 20th century illustration, as well as the aesthetics of Robert Williams, Francis Bacon, and Big Daddy Roth. Mr. Kelly finds endless inspiration in the pulp art and popular culture that infiltrated the margins of post WWII America. His paintings evoke obscure records, the occult, regional legend and lore, tabloid newspapers, and general outcastery. Mr. Kelly graduated from Rhode Island School Of Design with a degree in Film/Animation.
Mr. Kelly's work will be on display in The Collaborative for the entire month of November. The reception will take place on Saturday November 19th.
Light refreshments will be provided. Donations always welcome.
