Based in Warren, Rhode Island, Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly have spent their 30 year career traveling extensively to perform as well as find and research traditional folk songs and dances one by one. Atwater-Donnelly’s newest project, The World is Old Tonight, marks their 13th recording. It has taken Aubrey and Elwood nearly four years to record this current collection of Celtic and American folk songs.
This project is truly a collaboration between Atwater-Donnelly and The Collaborative: Uriah Donnelly, Executive Director, plays piano on the album; Adam Tracy, Executive Board Member and Member Artist, created the original artwork and graphic design (above); and Janet Moscarello, Member Artist, contributed her photographs.
The reception and concert will be held on Friday, June 24th at the Historic Warren Armory, 11 Jefferson Street.
Doors at 7pm.
Beverages will be available for sale to benefit The Collaborative.
Tickets are $15, includes complimentary pastries donated from Pastiche.
