A little bit about this piece. I created it during June and July of this year. It is a homage to Theodore Gericault’s Raft of the Medusa. I enjoy word play and materials, so using a toilet seat band as my means of expression seemed an apt choice. During these times the availability of many items has been in question, so I decided to make due with only this one item. I decided to only use tape and folding as my means of manipulation. The temporary nature and materials are an expression of the times and my current feelings.
