Hi, I am Finn Lawless. I am a lifelong Warren resident and I am a 7th grade student at St. Andrew’s School in Barrington. Growing up in the Ocean State I am fortunate that I can go to the beach quite often. My mom once told me about how she used to look for "mermaids’ tears" (or sea glass) with her grandparents. Now I go to different beaches with my parents to search for this special treasure, too. Our tiny state has 400 miles of coastline. Although most of my collection was found in Rhode Island, some pieces are from Lake Ontario in Toronto and Lake Michigan in Chicago.
I started creating artwork with my collection as an annual tradition for party favors at our family Christmas Eve party. Some of my creations are original. I also find inspiration from social media and sea glass enthusiast groups. I hope you enjoy my work!
