“Hello, my name is Jillian Maisonet, and I am a self-taught artist. I'm 18 years old. I've been creating art ever since I was in elementary school. The first thought that comes to mind when I hear the word "art" is how flawed it is, much like people. Anything can be considered art, including a scribe on a wall and the pattern of the clouds in the sky. I admire abstract art for its variety of colors, unique textures, and creative shapes. Art helps me to express myself, when words can't, every piece of art I create has a purpose. This will be the first step towards achieving my future goal of working as a full-time artist.”
