Here’s what’s in store for you!
WEEK 1 - Survey podcasts
Decide what elements make you want to listen - dramatic build, surprise, humor, people participation.
Introduction to equipment needed for a podcast - recorder, mikes, xlr,stands.
Practice setting up to record and using the microphone.
Determine who the audience is for your podcast.
WEEK 2 - Work on your story idea
Write a 1-2 min script or outline. Think about the introduction, central story and closing to the podcast; what questions do you want to ask? Do you want to use a voiceover? What natural sound and music could you use?
WEEK 3 - Record your podcast!
Learn how to use your microphone to get the best sound. Create smooth audio transitions and edits.
WEEK 4 - Final Touch-ups and Present your Podcast
