Melanie dai Medeiros has been an Artist Collaborator with the Collaborative since 2022.  Much of her work is based on the imagery from her time exploring our  local parks, forests, and beaches, especially from her favorite place: Prudence Island combined with domestic interiors as she balances her love of the outdoors and limited free time.  She is passionate about raising awareness of our collective impact on our environment and its inhabitants and is interested in sustainable art practices. Medeiros has exhibited and won awards in a variety of venues throughout New England, been awarded the Make Art grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, and teaches art to both children and adults. In 2020, Melanie received her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston where she had obtained her BFA in 2003.
