The work shown in this exhibition reflects my own emotional states throughout life. I began this work in quarantine and view this work as a reflection of the varying emotions I felt during this time like loss, isolation, and optimism. The energetic brush strokes of my process capture the turbulence and the emotional ups and downs. In this body of work, I capture flowers during moments of their existence, which reminds us of the fragility of their short but beautiful lives. I try to suggest a state of mindfulness as they exist and interact with their environment.
