Oscar James Walsh is a 14 year old artist born in Austin, Texas. From there he moved to Providence and by the age of six started to find a love for drawing. Self-taught, he continued to draw, until moving to Barrington where he has stayed since. Early on, Oscar had struggled to find a consistent style he could rely on when drawing, mostly using a pen to draw whatever came to mind. In Barrington, influences both famous and personal stuck with him, leading Oscar to create a consistent drawing style. Several influences shaped Oscar’s art, including artists such as Salvador Dali, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Oscar’s grandmother. As well as artists, musicians such as Aphex Twin or “AFX” are also a huge influence on him.
