Sara Young - Market St May 2023
24-year-old Sara Young is from Tiverton, Rhode Island. She is a BFA Graduate of Lesley University of Art and Design with a focus in printmaking. Prior to attending Lesley, she was invited to study abroad in Rome, Italy through the Rome Art Program. There she studied art history, drawing and watercolor.
Her artwork has been shown in Rhode Island at the Collaborative Gallery in Warren, and at the Fearless Artists gallery in Tiverton. She has worked as a commissioning artist and also as a curator. Having curated a show local to Tiverton, at the Sandywoods Center For The Arts a show called Visionaries, she also curated Fans and Interactions By Frances Middendorf at the Tambaran Gallery, and Mobiles and Paintings by William and Frances Middendorf at the W Graham Arader III gallery; both located in New York City.
Sara’s current artwork has a focus on the elements of the Northeast Coast translated by different methods of creating art. Her main goals now are to continue expanding her successes of being an artist and eventually an educator. In the near future she plans to pursue graduate school, where she can then teach college Fine Arts courses.
